We were extremely fortunate to have two grandparents for Sydney Rose who help to raise her. On her father’s side, there was Grandma (Cheryle), and on my side, Grandpa (Gilbert). My dad moved into the lower duplex when Sydney was just a baby, so she grew up with him literally just a stone’s throw away from us. As for my dad, Sydney was everything to him, and to him (and me), she is perfect.
Women love him!
As his daughter, it never ceased to amaze me how women loved this man. Well into his eighties, they still flirted and adored him.
Of course I’d been a part of all his relationships from my mother, to Carmen, Susan, Nancy and Carol (and a few in between). Each woman individual, unique, beautiful and always kind to me.

“One of those Father Daughter type events…couldn’t say which, but he was always there for me!”

I believe this is one of the final photos of all five Sanchez siblings taken together. This was in Huntington park after laying Grandpa Sanchez to rest.
